I am nominating myself for the Secretary position on the board.
Having played for Karma for the past two Open seasons and only having started playing a year before that I still feel like I am a new player - and I feel like I can bring a fresh outlook on the sport and how an elite team should work.
I am nominating for Secretary as I feel that this will allow me to take on a more active role on the board and contribute well into the future with experience I gain from this position.
As an enthusiastic member of the board I will work hard to help establish our team at the elite level of the Nationals circuit.
Our Goal should be to win a National title by:
- Changing the culture of our team
- Reduce the inter-club rivalry
- Build and foster the community of the team through on and off field activities
- Being committed players to our team and campaign
- A small club fee that will be put towards tournament fees or better accommodation
- Attendance record to reward those who consistently attend trainings and events
- Working hard and training with intensity all year round
- 'Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard'
- Not just to be fit for the season but to be stronger and healthier all year round
- Establishing and playing within our systems as best we can whether we win or lose
- Supporting each other both on and off the field
- Playing for the 6 other guys on the line, the 12 on the side,
and the 24 who had to stay at home
- Developing players at all levels
- Re-establish Super League as a tool to develop our team and players
- Give our young players a team to aspire to play on
- Give our experienced players a team where they can continue to build and grow
I honestly believe that we have the ability as a team to push the top teams to their limits and win nationals and I will continue to strive to push the club in this direction to become an elite men's team whos name and players are know throughout the country.
If you have any questions I am happy to answer them, or elaborate on any of these points via Facebook.
Thanks, Tee
